MissYucki has used all her favourite colours in this batch of pretty prizes including pink, purple, red, black, white, grey, silver and gold.

The Rosettes all bare a heart emblem on their central, shiny button and they are hand crafted from firm Satin Ribbon. They are 8 inches long from head to tail and the central circular button has a diameter of 8 inches.

On the back of each Rosette there is an area to fill in personal details, including Name, Event, Date and Judge. Each Rosette is also signed and numbered and they include a functional pin fastener on their back so that the Rosettes can be worn as an accessory or pinned onto stuff.

City Of Spooks And Delight

City Of Spooks And Delight, originally uploaded by MissYucki.

Loosely based on Hieronymus Bosch’s famous triptych, The garden of Earthly delights, MissYucki has created a new print work, City of Spooks and Delight.

This characteristically MissYucki landscape illustrates, in 3 printed panels, a dreamscape of spooky delights in which a MissYucki Pageant Princess is the central character seen cavorting amidst shadowy creatures in a realm filled with curious candyfloss hues and almost familiar terrain sprinkled with symbols of Johannesburg, mining and eerie amusement.

This new work was created for the Spookasem exhibition which; will be opening on the 20th of January at Salon 91 Contemporary Art Collection in Cape Town, South Africa.

If you are lucky enough to be In the lovely Cape Town between the 20th of January – 20th of February please do head over to Salon 91 to get a peek at MissYucki’s Spooks and Delights.

City of Spooks and Delights is a digital, collaged illustration created using Photoshop. It’s elements are a combination of digitally drawn details layered and textured with photographs. The work is comprised of three print panels; Bokkie Bliss, Golden Terra and Muti Mining. As a completed set, the work is approximately 89,14cm x 49cm and it is available in an edition of 3.

SPOOKASEM evokes a sense of sugar and spice and all things nice; a whiff of the whimsical; of childhood innocence; of indulgence; of the carnivalesque; of nostalgia, dreams and nightmares; of desire and sinful pleasures, conjuring up fairgrounds, forgotten lands, extinct creatures, imagined monsters and friendly ghosts.

Hopefully we will get some pics up of the work in process soon! we are very excited by it!

Thanks to Monique and Jade for all their input and a super special thanks to Sarah Sinisi for being our most excellent S.A. co ordinator.
